Florida Cancer Plan

Directing the state's battle against cancer with a smart plan and coordinated implementation

About the Florida Cancer Plan

A coalition of caring professionals have united to help protect all Floridians and their loved ones from the devastating effects of cancer. It includes representatives from the Florida Department of Health, the Florida Cancer Plan Council, the Cancer Control and Research Advisory Council, and other groups.

The Florida Cancer Plan is the result of this initiative. This program:

  • Coordinates statewide efforts to reduce the cancer burden
  • Promotes cancer prevention awareness
  • Improves residents’ access to timely screenings, diagnosis, and treatment
  • Enhances quality of life and care throughout the stages of cancer survivorship
